BEAUTIFUL... WORTHY... FLEEXIBLE....All words you have used to describe yourself. SPEAK IT! BELIEVE IT! ACHIEVE IT! We are here! Here today because we choose to be! Striving to keep self-esteem high! Setting Goals! Aiming high! Planning to make our dreams come true! YOU ARE NOT THE AVERAGE GIRL FROM THE VIDEOS…. You are extraordinary And YES! YOU ARE THAT GIRL! Beyonce asked, “Who runs the world”? And of course, the answer is a resounding: GIRLS! James Brown says, “It’s a man’s world, but it would be nothing without a woman or a girl!” Oprah Winfrey stated, “When you train a girl, you train a nation.” Jada Pinkett Smith wrote a book entitled, “Girls Hold Up the World”! YOU are THAT GIRL who WILL reach her goals... THAT GIRL who is a Leader; not a follower...THAT GIRL who is an upstander … doing what is right – not just what is easy! Since the beginning of time, ladies, girls and women have worked hard, struggled and uplifted other women! Are you your Sister’s Keeper? Or are you a hater or a mean girl? You choose… Life is about choices. You choose to help others. You choose to be an up-stander, standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. Think for a minute about Harriet Tubman and her fearlessness. How about Cleopatra and her leadership? What about Michelle Obama and her integrity? They were/are ALL confident, changemakers ... They were also described as THAT GIRL! Throughout the year, we have strived to give you unforgettable experiences and plant the seeds to challenge you, to inspire you to want more and dream BIG! We have had lots of FUN while serving others, learning more about ourselves, going to the theater and eating out. We have also dealt with more serious issues such as: becoming a leader, acting like a lady, goal-setting, music, health and wellness, body image and above all else, Self- Respect! Leading Ladies: Remember – There is no better you than the you that you are… No better life than the life we're living.” Say it loud and proud and believe it: “I’m STRONG ; I’m CONFIDENT, I’m INVINCIBLE” . We know that when you fall down you WILL get up! So... It is with great pride and pleasure that we recognize your achievements today. Good luck in your future endeavors and remember you ARE THAT GIRL! Love, Mrs.Sabrina H, Mrs. Laura , Ms. Latonya & Mrs. Sabrina W.
